Mental habit is about how you think inside and outside of how things are. Sometimes we over analyze and we forget that it is the habit we are talking about. Take the habit change inch by inch. Never take a full step especially when talking about changing the rhythm of your body with something new. Mental thinking habits are sometimes positive or negative thinking. Always practice to have a positive habit thinker. Even in bad situations, always think positive outcome and results. The key to this is have a thankful attitude. The feeling of getting hurt is never easy to think positive but if it’s already a habit, it will just manifest as natural response.
Spiritual habit is more of how you respond emotionally. If the person that was badly mistreated or something triggered an emotional issue, the results are also emotional as well. Practice to have the response of having the emotions of God. The emotions of God that is embedded in our core beliefs must be love, joy, peace, self-control, kindness, goodness, patience, gentleness and meekness. This is the key to our success in spiritual habits.
